lightering the way
note to self: if your lighter starts to look, smell, or hint that it's seething its contents, do not--repeat: DO NOT put it in your pocket. my red, angry epidermis and associated discomfort can attest to the rightness of this statement.
also: don't do anything involving your lighter first thing in the morning. put it in your bag or your coat pocket or wherever you need it to be the NIGHT BEFORE. while you're awake.
this has been a public service announcement brought to you by the idiocy that is miss shivery before she's had a staggering amount of caffeine on the day of a show about which she's fretting.
