so, it's january. it's cold, it's rainy, it's pretty damn well grotesque. which means one thing: parties, parties, parties.

on the roster sometime in the next few months:

1. the ides of march party. this one is really going to be the facade and the cover story of my birthday party (which is march 17)...that fabulous day happens to fall on a monday this year, so i figured i'd have the party on march 15. the ides of march. biscuit is lobbying for the dress code to be all toga, all the time. not so sure about that yet. frankly, i haven't even cleared this with roommate yet, though i think i'm going to wait on that, anyway, out of sheer distaste for the inevitable "but that's so far away! why are you thinking about this now." come, as we all know, the perfect party takes ages to plan. but then, i don't think that the ides of march party will necessarily be the best party. i think that particular distinction belongs to...

2.the winter/spring formal (so titled depending on when we actually decide to hold it). i'm talking ballgowns. i'm talking boys in ties. i'm talking corsages and couple photos. i'm talking spiked punch and sock hop goodness, slowdancing and all that good stuff. miz i., you still up for that? i think it's our moral duty. you find the polaroid, i'll bring the punch.
